Horror Vacui vol.1

Néstor Montenegro Mateos, Javier Mosquera González, Carlos Palacios Rodríguez

We feel the urgency of a new beginning where we can collectively explore many of the layers of information that surround us, diversifying our reading, actively operating on the formats, and expanding the meanings. We claim for the plural construction of definitions that, based on vaguely imported concepts, support contemporary discourse on architecture. We believe in cumulative processes because they boost speculation and form in multiple directions, blurring the contours and multiplying the scope. We propose a projective methodology that defines a new expanded materiality to be inhabited. Through experimental research, critical reflections will be raised on natural environments, production systems, and various cultural and social realities, among others. Be they personal, collective, tangible, theoretical, physical, ideal, or any other, ready to be discovered through observation and practice. We explore possible transfers between architecture, art, industry, and open-source culture. The instability is a true opportunity, not limiting, but potentially creative.
